Perhaps we could point it out to the Charity Commission?

2011 Global Survey of Jehovah's Witnesses
by cedars inif you are visiting this site for the first time, or for the first time in a long while, i would appreciate if you could click on the following link and participate in the 2011 global survey of jehovah's witnesses.
both active jehovah's witnesses and former jehovah's witnesses around the world are invited to participate anonymously, and the results will be forwarded to the governing body and world's media.. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/t7zm5zc.
this thread will be updated with the results of the survey (for the time being at least) should you be interested.. in its first 3 days, the survey collected close to 400 responses.

Cedars I am sorry that you feel so despondent.
I can see both sides of this. On the one hand I personally have contributed to projects which have fallen by the wayside when the person initiating them has lost interest. I am wary of making any financial contribution now.
On the other hand, I found the victim mindset of many on this forum absolutely infuriating when I was new here (and yes, I know we are all technically victims). I figured out after a while that some people here who have been damaged by the Watchtower need it to be there and to be invincible in their minds. If it disappeared tomorrow, where would their nemesis be?
I hope you can return after a break.

UK newspaper interest in "mentally diseased", any Witnesses want to come forward?
by cedars infollowing the recent activity surrounding the "mentally diseased" apostate article, a major uk newspaper has expressed an interest in covering the story.
the correspondent as been told about this forum, and he is particularly interested in hearing from those inside the organisation, as i think few people are aware of how much unrest there is actually within witness ranks at the teachings of the society.. would anybody like to be used as a source, either anonymously or otherwise?
if so, it might be worthwhile saying a few words on this thread.

Did you hear the one about the agnostic dyslexic insomniac?
He lies awake at night wondering if there's a dog.

Do you think Witnesses would drink the "Cool-Aid" if told to do so...like Jonestown?
by Witness 007 injonestown 1970's, jim jones brainwashed his 900 member cult into committing mass suicide by drinking cyanide cool-aid.
only three escaped.
{the smart ones} one man hid under a building....another escaped into the jungle while armed guards dragged another member to get injected by force.

That is very chilling! Culling in the sense of ''Jehovah'' doing it or taking it upon themselves to rid the earth of apostates??
It was described as something Jehovah would do; it was discussed on this thread:

BTW, they just killed all the inactive and apostates at this summers DC. If you are not an active jws, you are dead to them.
That's no joke, reference was made to a 'culling work to come'.

I wasn't aware that we were presupposing that the borg would spring this without warning. Let me ask you this, if Jones had not conditioned his followers with practice sessions, do you think he would have been as successful in convincing his followers to go to their deaths? I don't.
If someone were to get on the platform and demand people kill themselves, of course people would question it. But if they were conditioned to obey without question even if they don't understand what is asked of them like Abraham (hint - they have already been told this) and then if some scripture was twisted to support an act of suicide as Jehovah's will then yes, some would comply.

They are physically free to walk away--physically free to turn on their computers. They have time alone.
Which means that the average JW needs to have a more developed self regulation system than a cult member in a closed off community. Jones isn't in the pavilion, he's in your head!
